Catrafting, simply put, is an inflatable craft with two pontoons. The two pontoons are held together with an aluminum frame. The floor of a cataraft is unique, as it is made of mesh. This allows the waves to not only saturate the front and sides of the raft, but also the floor! A cataraft is a stable craft. The Alpine Team spent time 'researching' the cataraft with many, many happy 'test cases'.
